Honda recently shared the brand’s 12th annual North American Environmental Report (NAER) with consumers. This document shares how the brand’s practices in several key areas impact the planet as well as address the environmental processes measured.

A few highlights from this year’s annual North American Environmental Report:

• Development of a recycling program for service parts that include wheels, catalytic converters, engines, and nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) batteries

Takahiro Hachigo, CEO of Honda, shared his insights about what the Honda lineup will look like in 14 years. The takeaway message is that it will be very green.

Hachigo predicts that over 65 percent of global sales will be in electric vehicles, hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and hydrogen vehicles like the Honda Clarity Fuel Cell. That's not just green, it's verdant as a spring garden!

Honda's first plug-in hybrid is slated to hit DCH Honda of Oxnard and other North American dealerships in 2018.
