Here at DCH Honda of Oxnard, we know how important it is to support the local community—after all, we’re a part of it! Honda understands this too, which is why it employs a manufacturing philosophy of “build products close to the customer.” This is good for business, but it’s also a great boon to local communities that are able to count on good-paying, stable manufacturing jobs, and that, in turn, is good for everyone. It is in that spirit that we would like to offer Honda Precision Parts of Georgia, LLC (HPPG) a big round of applause for 10 years of manufacturing transmissions in Tallapoosa, Georgia. Here’s to the next 10!

"We have made great strides during the last decade and our associates have been a driving force for our success here in Tallapoosa. Our future is bright and we look forward to sharing even more accomplishments with our associates and the local community as we continue to make high quality products for our customers." –Masahiko Kayama, president at HPPG.

Since switching to transmission manufacturing in 2006, the plant has manufactured approximately 2.7 million transmissions to date. These transmissions can be found throughout the Honda lineup, notably in the Honda Pilot SUV, 2017 Honda Ridgeline pickup truck, and the Honda Odyssey minivan. The longstanding manufacturing in Tallapoosa, GA demonstrates Honda’s commitment to U.S. manufacturing jobs. HPPG began manufacturing transmissions in 2006 with 179 associates and has grown to over 500 associates today. Now, that’s something to be proud about.
