The new Honda Accord has been completely redrawn from the ground up. It's exterior is sleeker and more stylish than ever. Rather than going for familiar and conservative styling and a sedan profile, Honda has styled the brand new, 10th generation Accord more like a fastback. With a low, swooping roofline, seemingly wider dimensions, and lower stance, the new Accord appears more poised to perform than ever before. Even though it will not be offered with a V6 engine option, the fact is, the new Accord is more poised to perform than ever before, with two new engines that deliver peak horsepower and torque at lower RPMs than the outgoing model.

Powertrain Options

Two new engines are available to 2018 Accord buyers:

  • The first engine is a 1.5-liter turbo four-cylinder engine making 192 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque
  • New Accord buyers seeking more thrills can choose a 252 horsepower engine that generates an impressive 273 lb-ft of torque.

Transmission Options

There are three available transmissions in the 2018 Accord:

  • On models with the 1.5-liter engine, Accord buyers can choose from either a CVT or, an optional six-speed manual (Manual Available on 1.5-liter-equipped Sport models only).
  • On 2.0-liter-engine equipped models, buyers can choose a 10-speed automatic or 6-speed manual.

Aside from new engine and transmission choices and new styling, the 2018 Accord also benefits from revamped technology, like a new center screen with knobs, an abundance of soft touch materials, and eye-catching exterior and interior color choices.
