Friday, September 23rd Padilla Dedication Game DCH Honda staff came out to support the Oxnard High School Yellow Jackets and Padilla family at what turned out to be the first win of
the 2011 season, dedicated to Senior Safety Adrian Padilla after he was injured
earlier in the month.
The Yellow Jackets won, with Padilla joining in
the celebration via a phone in his hospital room.

CPR Fund-racer Sponsored by Team DCH, Ventura County SADD Chapters hosted their annual National Youth Traffic Safety Month event at MB2 Raceway, providing a safe (and traffic-fine-free) environment to put pedal to the medal. With raffles, music and safe driving information available, students, employees, and the whole community were invited come out and enjoy. All event proceeds went to further SADD programming.

Calling all lovers of big hair, converse, Salt-n-Pepa, Back to the Future and beyond!
We hosted another SADD fundraiser, and indeed raised a lot of fun!
All proceeds went to 805 SADD Chapters to offset costs for their national conference in June.
Saturday, March 12th
Movie Night: "Throwback Theatre" to benefit SADD Chapters
Remember the days of watching movies under the stars? We hosted a screening of 10 Things I Hate About You on our Honda Lot! With admission and concessions available for $1 each (and free popcorn!), attendees pulled up a chair for a front-row seat or sat in their cars in true drive-in style. All proceeds will be divided among area SADD Chapters to offset student expenses for the National SADD Conference held in June.
Sunday, February 27th
Luis Vazquez Memorial Scholarship Car Wash and Bake Sale
Oxnard's DCH dealerships are teaming up to support the Pacifica SADD Chapter by providing the venue (and some serious elbow grease!) for this event, dedicated to keeping Luis' memory alive through granting the funds raised to another SADD member who shows promise in furthering the chapter's efforts to encourage responsible teen citizenship. Tickets are $5.
The event will be held at Toyota of Oxnard, from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m.

The Ventura County Star just published an article on our toy drive for Ramona Elementary School. To have seen the joy on the faces of over 500 kids as they unwrapped and played with their gifts was a gift in itself! We feel truly honored to have been a part of this effort.

Movie Night!
OXNARD, CALF. - DCH Auto Group dealerships in Oxnard, CA will be hosting a teen safe driving event on Saturday, May 22 as part of National Youth Traffic Safety Month.
DCH Honda of Oxnard (a proud sponsor of SADD) is hosting an AWARENESS DRIVEN event supporting the community of Ventura County. What better way to start 2010 then by making a resolution to support our neighbors! Come down and get to know the organizations that make a difference in the lives of those who need it the most. There will be a raffle with GREAT PRIZES for all those who contribute to one or more of our participating organizations.
January 9th 2010
From 10:00 to 4:00 the United Blood Bus will be parked outside taking donations. City of Hope is looking for a marrow transplant for local Ventura County teen Mia. SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) will be available to talk to teen drives about the importance of responsible driving.
Donations to organizations can include: canned goods for "Food Share", household items/toiletries to "The Lighthouse Woman & Children's Mission", used children's books to be donated to 12 year old Rena (for her project to help others) going to "Casa Pacifica", monetary donations or school supplies to help our local schools through TDFO (The Dream Fund Organization).
